MasVusi: Who is She?

Transgender artist and entertainer MasVusi describes herself as “quick witted, kind, and unapologetically queer." Her unabashed confidence and performance abilities has allowed her to host well over 100+ shows across the DMV and perform from San Francisco to New Orleans, and beyond.

MasVusi brings a collective 11 years of performance art experience ranging from staged dance opportunities with Bill T. Jones & Company to twirling at your local nightclub and, yes, even singing live for audiences across the region. She's an internationally acclaimed, four-time award winning documentary subject with a "Portrait of MasVusi." Her upcoming project, an EP titled "I hope you like it, and," will be released at the end of June.

Amidst all of this, she holds the most pride in her community building skills and capacity to organize with the Becoming Fund, a social and medical transition fund for TGNC drag artists across the DMV.
